Fee Details
  • For ICBC patients, the insurer covers the first $82 of your visit. Patients are responsible for fees above this amount.
  • For patients eligible for MSP Supplementary Benefits / Native Status patients, MSP covers $23 per visit (limit of 10 per calendar year shared across services). Patients are responsible for any fees above this amount.
  • Patients under 19 years of age are eligible for the Youth Rate of $70-$85 for a 30 minute appointment.
  • Payment is due at the time of each visit
  • Missed appointments and Late Cancellations (less than 24 hours’ notice) are charged at the full private fee
  • The clinic accepts Visa, MasterCard, Debit, or cheque (payable to Dunbar Physio)

Private or Extended Health Plans

  • All services are paid for at the time of treatment
  • Receipts are provided for submission to your health plan provider.
  • For coverage information, check with your health plan provider

Medical Services Plan BC for Physiotherapy in Vancouver

  • For patients that are eligible for Supplementary Benefits with MSP (low income, native status, disability status, etc), MSP covers a portion of the fee ($23). Patients are responsible for any fees above this amount.
  • The MSP coverage is for a total of 10 treatments shared between physiotherapy, non-surgical podiatry, massage therapy, naturopathy, acupuncture and chiropractic.

ICBC

  • No doctor’s referral is required
  • Please bring your claim number and BC CareCard to your first appointment
  • ICBC covers a portion of your therapy. Patients are responsible for any fees due at each treatment. 

WorkSafe BC

  • No doctor’s referral is required
  • Please bring your claim number and BC CareCard to your first appointment

Total Hip & Knee Replacements

  • These joint replacement procedures done at UBC Hospital may be eligible for Physiotherapy coverage as part of the procedure
  • The Total Hip Replacements have 3 covered physio visits
  • The Total Knee Replacements have 12 covered physio visits

UBC Students

  • UBC students receive a discount on our standard fees
Home Visits
  • Home visits are available through our clinic
  • Please enquire at our Front Desk
What To Bring
  • CareCard
  • Diagnostic test results relevant to your complaint (X-ray reports, CT scans or MRI results)
  • Suitable attire: eg. shorts, tank top
  • A support person should accompany you if you require assistance entering the clinic, filling out forms, changing attire, etc.

What should I expect?
  • Please arrive promptly for your scheduled appointment.
  • Initial Appointments are typically 30-45 minutes. Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow completion of paperwork.
  • Please complete the New Patient intake forms that are emailed to you once you book an appointment.
  • If you are late for your appointment, we will do our best with the remaining time.
